  • Generate ideas and develop digital strategies to help win national and local campaigns that dismantle white supremacy. Map arcs of action that mobilize Bend the Arc’s base, build support, and grow Bend the Arc’s power to win.

Decentralized Finance (DeFi): The Future of Finance Specialization - Duke University - Durham, NC (completed 2022) - This course explored the origins of DeFi and took a broad historical view from the earliest barter economies, such as the first peer-to-peer exchanges of bartering, to present day. The course also looked at historical examples of money having value even though it is not officially backed. We then focused on the key infrastructure components: blockchain, cryptocurrency, smart contracts, oracles, stablecoins and decentralized applications (or dApps). This included a discussion of the mechanics of the Ethereum and Bitcoin blockchains including cryptographic hashing. 

Community Organizing For Social Justice - University of Michigan - Ann Arbor - Ann Arbor, MI (completed 2021) - This course examined specific strategies for community organizing for social justice in a diverse, democratic society. It examined core concepts of social justice and practical steps for bringing people together to set goals and priorities, assess community assets and needs, develop action plans, and build support for implementation.
